Consulting
Our consultants are available to work individually with your organization or business to address refugee employment related issues. To arrange a consultation with RefugeeWorks, email information@refugeeworks.org.
Our consultation experiences include:
- Facilitating strategic planning or restructuring for refugee employment programs.
- Negotiating partnerships with new employers.
- Convening local refugee employment stakeholders to address challenges and develop collaborative solutions.
- Addressing placement outcomes and sharing strategies from other sites.
- Preparing reports that promote new strategies for refugee employment.
Recent projects include:
- Participating in a national project, supported by the Wilder Foundation, with other capacity building organizations to identify best practices in capacity building for refugee and immigrant-led organizations.
- Supporting public and private sector subsidized employment placements for refugees in Stockton and Merced, California, St. Paul, Minnesota and Lowell, Massachusetts.
- Leading a statewide refugee youth initiative in California that included coalition-building and program planning in seven selected cities.
- Conducting specific training sessions that incorporate goal-setting and action plans for several local voluntary agencies.
